When using a cordless pad with a cordless monitor you are able to remove the alarm noise from the room, creating a quieter environment for residents. The pad is placed under resident, either on a chair or bed and the floor mat can be placed either by the bed or by the door. When a resident gets up from a pad or steps on a floor mat, a wireless signal is sent to the monitor setting off an alarm to alert caregivers.
